Apply for Job in Canada – Federal Skilled Worker Program for Foreigners in Canada 2023
The Canadian Government’s Federal Skilled Worker Program is designed for skilled workers with foreign work experience and qualifications who desire to relocate permanently to Canada along with their families.
The Skilled Worker immigration programs are intended to grant permanent resident status to eligible candidates who successfully meet the program’s criteria.
To be eligible for the Canadian Federal Skilled Worker program, applicants must demonstrate high skills in an in-demand occupation and fulfill the specific requirements outlined by the processing office.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be qualified for the Federal Skilled Worker Program offered by the Canadian Government, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Skilled Work Experience: Candidates need to have a minimum of one year of continuous full-time work experience (or equivalent duration of continuous part-time work) in a skilled occupation listed under TEER Categories 0, 1, 2, or 3 of Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC) within the ten years before submitting their electronic application for permanent residence.
- Language Proficiency: It is essential to demonstrate proficiency in either English or French by meeting or exceeding the language threshold of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7. Test results from an IRCC-designated language testing organization should be provided as evidence of language proficiency.
- Education: Applicants must present either a Canadian educational credential or a foreign educational credential along with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from a designated organization. This assessment is to establish the equivalency of their foreign diploma, degree, or certificate with a completed Canadian educational credential. Points will be awarded based on the completed Canadian educational credential or the value of the foreign educational credential in Canadian standards.
If all the minimum requirements are met, the application will then be assessed using the selection factors outlined in the federal skilled worker points grid.
