The Australian Government Research Training Program is currently accepting applications from qualified international students who wish to pursue a program at Griffith University and other Australian institutions. It is recommended that applicants submit their applications before completing their current degree, as conditional offers can be provided.
The selection process for Griffith scholarships and Australian Government Research Training scholarships is competitive and based on merit. Scholarships are awarded at various times throughout the year.

Here are the details of the scholarships:
- Australia’s culture is diverse and encompasses a wide range of practices and experiences, influenced by its multicultural and multiracial population. The country also holds a significant cultural heritage from its Indigenous people.
- Scholarships for PhD and research degree programs may cover tuition fees, overseas student health cover, stipends for living expenses, and relocation allowances.
To be eligible for the Australian Government Research Training Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be international students.
- Applicants must be starting or currently enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research program at Griffith University, which is eligible for RTP support.
- Applicants should not be receiving income from another source that covers more than 75% of the RTP stipend and supports their general living expenses.
- Income received for purposes unrelated to the candidate’s research program or for specific research costs should not be considered in this calculation.
